PAGESAT HS (High Speed) 2000 SATELLITE DATA TERMINAL
The Pagesat Netnews satellite broadcast service has been upgraded to
115.2Kbps. Cost for this new serive is only $795.00 for the satellite data
terminal,antenna and outdoor electronics. The service charge is $40.00
per month billed yearly and we tke credit cards which will allow your site to
get a complete newsfeed for a low monthly rate.
The PageSat HS 2000 satellite data terminal is the smart way for
Internet service providers, BBS operators and organizations to receive
virtually a complete Netnews newsfeed encluding binaries and foriegn
groups. Smart because it can take up to 25-30 percent of a 56K circuit just
to receive a full newsfeed.
Multiple NNTP newsfeeds can take up even morebandwidth. The PageSat
service currently receives over 40 NNTP feeds, some of which are major
backbone feeds such as DEC-WRL and CERFnet.
PageSat will be adding more incoming feeds over the next few months.

providing a fast up-to-date realtime feed that will out perform your

customers and downstream sites. The cost is a one-time $50.00 fee to
register your site with a fully qualified domain name such
"yoursite.ncit.com."
New PageSat customers can receive Fidonet with the purchase of PageSat
hardware at no monthly charge through January of 1996.
The Fidonet backbone feed is received via George Peace of paonline.com
via automatic FTP every hour or sooner. Both sites have a T-1
connection into the Internet. This provides for a fast, reliable feed.
Echomail and file areas are added regularly. There is no need to
request new areas at all. Simply allow our system to create new areas
for you and you can make sure your site always has the most current
and most complete area listings. Many other popular networks are being
added to the system, making it possible to have many popular networks
without the hassle and cost of polling long distance for mail.
PageSat DOS software, through the use of a configuration file, will
allow you to place Usenet news, Fidonet, E-mail and other services in
their own separate and unique directories. This allows for ease of
integration into other programs.
The data is processed, spooled, and fed from our UNIX computers to the
PageSat owned and operated uplink facility. The signal is then
multiplexed with a number of other PageSat signals and upconverted to
a transponder on GE Americom's Ku-band K2 domestic satellite and
broadcast to the entire continental United States.
PageSat's Usenet news and data broadcast service covers the
continental U.S. and parts of southern Canada and northern Mexico.
Coverage in Europe and Asia is planned some time in the future.
On the average, we are delivering up to 360+ megabytes a day of Usenet
news -- > 24 hours a day -- 7 days a week.
The PageSat system is secure. No one can break into your system
through the satellite link. This makes it ideal for high security
installations that cannot allow physical network or telephone links
