I will soon be offering Usenet conferences to all sites connected to
me via my UUCP feed. I am making final adjustments and tests on the
software.

What does this mean for you, a FutureVision sysop?

It means that you may be able to subscribe to just about any Usenet
Newsgroup that you want as long as you contact me and have an active
network connection with my site.

I refuse to send the information to any sites that aren't -DIRECTLY-
networking with me because of the added load to sites along the way.

You will be able to read/reply to Usnet conferences.
You will have quicker, more reliable access to Internet E-mail.
(Shane has some problems with the protocols and OSU that make it
neccessary to call in and MANUALLY download the data. I haven't
had these problems and my UUCP feed is 100% Automated.)

I poll my UUCP host on a 6 hour basis, but that may be dropping down
to a 4 or 2 hour basis depending on the size of the incoming data
files.

Currently, I am pulling the entire Comp.Sys.Apple2 hierarchy with
Comp.Sys.PowerPC and alt.bbs.metal

If anyone is interested in grabbing these feeds, they need only inform
Xenon Knight (#1@#4) that they will be netting into (#6) Damage
Incorporated.

Once Tony passes out the new conference list, they will then have to
subscribe to the neccessary conferences.

P.S. You must be running FV.4.02.xev.h or better to access these
features. This will be made avaialble on the FTP site pending
some small software fixes that should be implemented.
